Refusing to sell cigarettes to minors
Content:
Minors obtain cigarettes through purchases or are given by schoolmates. Up to 73.31 percent of the youth were not asked their age when purchasing cigarettes and another 75 percent were not refused the purchase even if they were underage. This survey shows that obtaining cigarette is not difficult for minors. Health authorities in counties and cities should step up their efforts in preventing vendors from selling cigarettes to students under 18.
